Fall Field Trips

(weekdays only-by appointment)

We have a wonderful field trip ready for you and your students to enjoy! A mix of fun, history, farm life, and outdoor activity make our field trips a perfect out-of-the-classroom learning experience for people of any age!

Spring field trips are available by appointment for school groups or other organized groups. For authorized school groups, classroom teachers are admitted free of charge for each package. For other groups, one group leader for each tour is admitted free of charge for each package.  Groups are welcome to bring snacks or lunches. We have picnic tables available outdoors. School groups should provide a leave-behind copy of their tax exempt forms at the time of their tour to avoid a sales tax charge. We do not accept credit cards.

We have four field trip packages to choose from:

Package 1 -  In this tour students will learn about various crops and how farmers affect our daily lives. They will see many different types of antique farm equipment and learn how farming has changed over the years. We also offer a gourd picking opportunity.

The tour also includes a 15-20 minute “I Spy” hayride around our scenic country farm. Groups can refer to “I SPY” cards to find different things as they travel on the hayride. A visit with our barnyard animals is also included, as is the Children's Exploration/Play area. We have a variety of typical farm livestock and some very special animals for students to meet. The children may interact with the animals within each student’s comfort level. We also have baby chicks for the students to hold. Each participant will have the opportunity to pick their own tour pumpkin.

The cost for this field trip is $6.75 ea. for students and chaperons.

Package 2 -  This tour includes all of the above in Package 1 and the 4.4 acre corn maze. There are three games you can participate in as you find your way through the maze. Each participant will be given a maze punch card. Within the maze there are 12 checkpoints to find with uniquely shaped paper punches. As you find a checkpoint you will punch your card. There are also seven multiple choice questions in the maze. Each participant tries to answer each question correctly and then write down the letter under the correct answer. If you answer all seven questions correctly, you will have seven letters to unscramble. Figure out the mystery word and find all 12 checkpoints to complete the maze. This year we've added a QR code mystery for those with smartphones or other code reader devices. Scan the codes, get the clues, and figure out the answer to a quiz. Maps of the maze are available to make your maze adventure easier.

The cost for this field trip is $8.75 ea. for students and chaperons.

Package 3 - Includes the corn maze, hayride, and a tour pumpkin.

The cost for this field trip is $7.75 ea. for students and chaperons.

Package 4 - Includes corn maze only.

The cost for this field trip is $6.00 ea. for students and chaperons.
